Interporto Padova

In 2016, Vector PTS was engaged by Interporto Padova, Italy, to provide specialist expertise on a significant intermodal infrastructure project — contributing to the continued development of one of Italy’s most important logistics and freight distribution hubs.

Our team took on a broad and technically demanding scope of work, delivering comprehensive conceptual design and precise capacity calculations for the intermodal terminal. These foundational outputs ensured that the terminal’s layout and throughput potential were optimally aligned with both current operational needs and future growth ambitions.

A key element of our engagement was the development of detailed technical and commercial specifications for Rail-Mounted Gantry cranes (RMGs) — critical assets at the heart of the terminal’s handling operations. Vector PTS further added value by providing dedicated support during OEM negotiations, equipping Interporto Padova with the technical insight and commercial confidence needed to secure the most advantageous outcome. The result was a well-structured, future-ready intermodal terminal solution.
