Klaipedos Smelte

In 2004 and 2005, Vector PTS was engaged to provide expert advisory services to Klaipėdos Smeltė in Lithuania, supporting a significant terminal development initiative on the Baltic Sea — a strategically vital region for trade and logistics across Northern and Eastern Europe.

Our experienced team delivered a broad and technically demanding scope of work, encompassing terminal design and comprehensive equipment planning. Central to this engagement was the definition of precise handling equipment specifications, ensuring that the selected assets were fully aligned with the terminal’s operational ambitions and long-term capacity requirements.

Vector PTS further supported the procurement process, providing the technical guidance necessary to navigate supplier selection with confidence and rigour. Rounding out our contribution, we developed a well-considered conceptual layout for the facility — laying a solid spatial and operational foundation for an efficient, scalable, and future-ready terminal.
